PROPHETIC MESSENGERS WITH A HUNGER FOR REFORMATION,
REVIVAL AND REVOLUTION IN THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH

There is an urgency quickly rising in the atmospheres of the earth- a desperate cry for fire, boldness and extreme passion to return to the church. God is in love with His bride, and there is a fervent beckoning to zealous intimacy and vigorous pursuit of Jesus like no time in church history. We must respond.

As we find ourselves in the place of night and day prayer (literally- both passively as we commune with God, and intentionally on a daily basis in hours of personal and corporate intercession) we will discover a prophetic revelation driven life. This revelation will result in earth-shaking reformation, revival and revolution in these end-times.

►MY HEART & PASSIONS
I have a hunger for deep and continual encounters with the Living God. While this hunger is often lacking and weak, I have been surprised by the fire of God's love time and time again- and I crave to help impart that fire to others. Revival, prayer, prophecy, church planting, deliverance and healing are a few key concepts that match my DNA and heart for ministry.

The ministry adventures that energize me the most are prayer, teaching, writing and apostolic advance.

►MY MINISTRY EXPERIENCE
I have been in volunteer, part-time and full-time ministry since 1991. In 2001 I planted Revolution Church in Manitou Springs, Colorado- a city at the base of Pikes Peak believed by many to be the darkest and most strategic city in the nation. In 1991 the Lord called me to 'take a city' for him, and Manitou Springs is on track to be one of those cities.

Revolution Church transitioned into a house of prayer in early 2006 as we became more keenly focused on the primary mission of prayer, warfare and Kingdom advance. Everything from hours of prayer deep in area caves to prayer walking to lingering in intercession through the night became regular focuses for us and mission teams that came to serve the dream of transformation in Manitou Springs.

I was privledged to help lead a unique weekly prayer event in Colorado Springs every Friday from 10pm-midnight called "Secret Prayer". We would pray in the Spirit for two hours each week in a different church in the city. In all, the Secret Prayer team prayed through over 100 churches.

I have written five books (Revelation Driven Prayer, Six Enemies of Fulfilled Destiny, Covens in the Church, The Terror of Hell and 20 Elements of Revival), and my wife Amy has written one (The Significant Life). Both of us feel a calling to continue writing and pouring our heart into others through books, teaching, video and other media.

►OTHER EXPERIENCE
I have a web and graphic design business- John Burton Design. I have served several clients including Beverly Pegues with Window International Network. Video,

My wife Amy and I planted Revolution House of Prayer in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 2001. The church is the first piece of the puzzle in what will ultimately be a city-wide revival.

In 1991 I received an assignment from God to see an entire city set free. Over the years, God added to that vision and has since revealed that his dream is to see Manitou Springs become an entire city that ministers to God 24 hours a day. That launched us into a fresh season as a house of prayer, a house of worship and a house of dreams for the Pike's Peak region and way, way beyond!

My wife, children and I are currently in a season of training, impartation and service at International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri. Our desire here is to soak in a prayer-fueled atmosphere and to gain further revelation and to catch a more vivid glimpse of our Bridegroom- King Jesus. This will, most certainly, result in a more powerful and all encompassing experience of legitimate revival in Manitou Springs and the cities of the earth.

My ministry style could be described as wildly passionate, engaging, humorous, Word empowered and dependant on the flow and power of the Holy Spirit. I love to have a lot of fun as I do my best to transfer God's amazing love and purposes.

The prevailing theme of the ministry God has given me revolves around the topic of 'being with God'. Where God is, things happen. In his presence, where he is, is the fullness of joy. As we discover the wonderful mystery of walking in the Spirit, praying always and walking in faith, life becomes incredible!

It truly is an experience in the invisible realm. As we tangibly experience God and as we pray we are interacting 'in the Spirit'. As we walk by faith and understand how amazing a Holy Spirit driven life is, being a believer quickly becomes the greatest adventure on earth!

It becomes easy to smile a lot, dance before the Lord, rejoice and walk in the strength we need to accomplish the impossible plans of God.

From this position, the desire for revival, revolution and reformation in our lives and in the church becomes a normal yet zealous and consuming drive in our lives. R180 simply means to turn completely around and pursue the Holy.
